Economic Development

Fullerton is a city filled with leaders interested in growing the community and the economy. With an active economic development and LB 840 plan in place, this community is "Pulling Together for Progress".

The Fullerton Area Economic Development Corporation (FAEDC) administers multiple programs that address housing and business needs in the community. These programs include Business Frontage Improvement Grants, Small Business Loans and Free Lots for residential and commercial development. Its mission is to partner with city government and other local entities to create a more dynamic and robust local economy that results in:

-- Job and business creation and retention --
-- The development of affordable housing --
-- An increased and diversified tax base --
-- An improved quality of life for area residents --

The Nance County Development Agency is likewise committed to business, housing and community development countywide. Its 10 member Board of Representitives is composed of elected officials and residents of each of the county's three communities. Its mission is similiar to that of the FAEDC, with the added objective of uniting all of the county's communities behind a common vision for growth and prosperity.

The Fullerton Area Chamber of Commerce is an body with a steady annual membership of about 100 local businesses and individuals. The mission of the Chamber is to encourage and support local businesses, coordinate family oriented events and attract visitors to Fullerton to shop and enjoy what the community has to offer. Chamber activities include: Business after hours; Chamber Bucks; First Dollar Awards; teacher appreciation events; and planning and co-sponsership of Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas activities.
